Music Question: 13 songs at random. I didn’t know what was coming. Next: My weekly new music radio show. Week 1001. Musical thoughts: Happy 50 to Jack White. Him Playing the National Anthem on guitar
Can I play? Here were my 13 randoms while working today. Apparently my randomizer thought I needed a lot of piano-driven blues with a dash of pop chestnuts.
The Doors - Soul Kitchen (live)
Count Basie - Going to Chicago Blues
David Bowie - It Ain’t Easy
Frank Sinatra - No One Ever Tells You
Fats Domino - Three Nights a Week
Richard Manuel - Georgia on My Mind (live)
The Mamas and the Papas - Dedicated to the One I Love
If you need proof that music can still hit you right in the gut, just play “Murder.”
Gilmour takes on tough subjects with honesty and grit: no gloss, no hiding. It’s a reminder that facing hard truths is powerful, and music can help you do it.
📌 Sometimes the most inspiring songs are the ones that refuse to look away.

Dude! That’s a great 13 tunes! I’m stealing that. And yes. Always encourage musical conversations 🤘👊🎸 I feel that Bowie into Sinatra might work.
Saw Petty live, met Warren Haynes in CT along with Gregg A.
Good songs here Chris, thanks.
Mundane Monday, may we all make it through…
That was totally fun!
Big surprise was the Bloodsugars, new to me and I loved the song.
Happy to become acquainted with Paramore and Jay Som.
I have always loved Triumph's "Lay it on the line" and enjoyed hearing a Monkees song I'd never heard.
What a great idea that was. One surprise after another.
That blood sugars song was my youngest favorite when I played it on NEXT back in 2009? My kids did have the advance of a new music show DJ as a dad.
In my humble opinion they had the best taste!
